April 18, 2012 World Management would like to announce that MORBID ANGEL will HEADLINE SECOND NIGHT OF THE "SPREAD THE METAL FESTIVAL" as the Legendary death metal band Morbid Angel will grace the stage of The Halifax Forum, Nova Scotia this July at the first annual "Spread the Metal Festival". The promoter and founder Matt Day had this to say about Morbid Angel and his event. "When death metal heavyweights like Morbid Angel come to town, the excitement generated is palpable. Spread the Metal Records is thrilled to welcome the band to our fair city of Halifax and wish to see as many out as possible to hear some phenomenal metal and give a huge amount of money back to the Heart and Stroke Foundation!" A total of 16 bands will be performing over two days with 100% of the ticket sales after expenses going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The festival starts on July 5th at 12 noon, and ends late at night on July 6th. Morbid Will play on July 6th.. Event details can be found here. March 14, 2012 World Management would like to announce that Morbid Angel will Headline this year’s Maryland Death Fest on Saturday May 26th, 2012. January 10, 2012 World Management and Morbid Angel would like to announce that Uk based magazine and .com site Terrorizer has premiered the newest Morbid Angel Video for Existo Vulgore. The video was conceptualized by Morbid Angel and video director Thomas Mignone (Slipknot, Mudvayne, Avenged Sevenfold) and produced through his production company DOOM Incorporated. Mignone filmed the band in Tampa just prior to their departure to Europe during their recent tour. Digital compositing and post-production was then done in Los Angeles with editor & visual efx artist Christopher Neil. The look and style of the video is reminiscent of the classic, silent horror films era, and features the intricate sculptures of artist Krystopher Sapp. The cinematographer was Michael Ferrera. Make-up design efx were created by Rebecca McGillicuddy. The Terrorizer link is now active. August 18, 2004 Morbid Angel and World Management would like to clear the air with the announcement that after more than 15 years and 9 albums and one EP the band and Earache Records have parted ways on future recordings. We will be exploring all interested labels as well as other options and and will make a decision on a new release for 2005 in the next few months. Currently we are still in the final phases of tour commitments for Heretic. We wish Earache continued success in selling our catalogue and have an obvious professional vested interest in this. We wish to thank all of the Earache employees past and present for their work on Morbid Angel’s releases. We are looking forward with excitement to the future. I have decided it is necessary for me to step away from Morbid Angel. It has been a long trip with a lot of great shows and I have made many friends along the way. There are many reasons for me leaving the band, personal reasons, musical reasons and very logical reasons. All of which will stay between me and the band . Yes! it is David's voice and Morbid Angel on the VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards 2002 commercial. The clip includes music and vocals from the song Rapture, and will be broadcast internationally from now until October 15th. It is eerily similar to the original Rapture video directed by Tony Kunenwalder. August 17th, 2002 Erik Rutan Moves On Erik Rutan has announced he is leaving Morbid Angel in order to devote himself entirely to Hate Eternal. Erik began playing guitar with Morbid Angel in 1993 and has played on three of the band's albums, as well as numerous national and international tours. In 1996, Erik began forming Hate Eternal, a blistering Death Metal band that takes technicality and brutality to new levels. In Hate Eternal, Erik fully expresses his own musical and lyrical ideas, handling vocals and guitar, and the majority of the songwriting. Hate Eternal's debut album, "Conquering The Throne", was the high-water mark for Death Metal in 1999 -- a furious yet precise assault on the senses. Hate Eternal's second album, "King Of All Kings" is now finished and is set for release on September 16th in Europe and September 17th in the US. He is featured in the Drum Corner section and talks about his drum kit setup, the drum hardware endorsements he has, his influences, about how he got started playing and more. November 9th, 2001 Seattle Venue Change A quick update to let fans in the Seattle area know that the venue has changed. The Seattle show on the Extreme Music For Extreme People Tour is now at Graceland. November 6th, 2001 New Date Posted/Cheap Tickets A new show date has been added. It is for a Morbid Angel and Deicide only show in Tempe, AZ at Boston's on November 26th. MORBID ANGEL are gearing up to annihilate Europe with news of a forthcoming tour. The band are currently on a stadium tour of the U.S. with PANTERA, SOULFLY and NOTHINGFACE. They are the first death metal band to play stadium size venues in America. Phil Anselmo joined Morbid onstage during their performances in L.A. and Las Vegas recently. Anselmo reportedly sang lead vocals on 'Day Of Suffering' at both shows. On the European tour they'll be joined by Norway's ZYKLON. The dates begin on April 16th in Belgium and wrap up on May 11th in the Netherlands.
